This year, 2023, has been quite the year for me. It's been a year of loss, surprise, & personal growth. But God has continued to remain faithful to uphold me and my family through all of it.

In this one year we have lost my father in law, my grandmother, and my uncle. My brothers and I found out that we have a sister who is two years older than me. There have been other challenges that have tested the strength and bond of my extended family. This year has indeed had some serious challenges, to say the least. I will certainly take some time as we close this year to do even more reflecting on the impact that this year has had on my life.

One thing I do know is that although the year has had some significant losses, there have been some significant gains in my own personal growth as well. I am proud of the progress that has been made in some areas of my life that needed a overhaul - emotionally, spiritually, & physically - and I'm still a work in progress. Thank God that He patiently and gently works with us to grow us and mature us into the person that He had in mind from the beginning. He is so good.

As this year comes to a close, I encourage you to take some time to reflect on your 2023. What gains and/or losses have impacted your life? The fact that you have lived to be on the other side of it is something to thank God for. He has continued to keep us and He remains faithful no matter what comes our way. As you go into 2024, what are some personal goals that you have for yourself? What are some ways that you can challenge yourself to be a better version of you? Let God help you with that list and show grace to yourself as you move forward and make the moves that are right for you in the new year.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Lord, thank you for blessing us to get to the end of 2023. We appreciate how you have kept us and how you love us. Put in our hearts the focus that we need to have as we move into 2024. We want to be better and better for you as we go forth in life. Please help us to understand the path that we must take. We love you and we thank you. Amen.
