Thank God For His Goodness!

"No matter how much evil is in the world, my goodness still dwells in the earth." - God

The Lord spoke that statement to me years ago and it holds true no matter what is happening in our lives or in our society today. God's goodness outweighs anything adversarial that comes our way. I just wanted to drop this word of encouragement to anyone who needs it because God cares about our well being and He has secured our future in Him. We all know that the recent election has many people feeling uncertain. I believe that no matter who would have won the election, God is still on the throne and He is still in control. Our God is still good and our future is secure in Him and Him alone.

Psalm 34:8 says, "Oh taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!" May our devoted trust always be in God and never in mankind. "...No one is good except God alone." Mark 10:18. Psalm 107:8-9 also confirms for us, "Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness." Hold on to that word when life is challenging you with difficulty. Hold on to it when you're looking at the state of the world that we live in. Hold on to it and trust that God has the whole world in His hands and that His Spirit will see us through any and all of life's challenges. Most of all, hold on to God because He certainly is holding on to us.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Lord, thank you for another opportunity to thank you for your goodness and your love. Help us to trust in your goodness and your willingness to provide for us. Your goodness makes all the difference, and we appreciate your presence and power in our lives. Help us to lean into you more. In Jesus' name. Amen.
